Ever have one of those days where you just cant get anything accomplished? Of all days it had to be this one. I'm not ready to go back to school tomorrow and as much as I want to change for the better in this new year, it seems like i'm going to keep my bad habit of procrastination. I'll get through it, though, and hopefully lose it along the way. I've decided to start a new journal and leave all these entries, especially this one, behind.
It's called skeeman by they way.

Summer is almost gone.. but luckily this week has been going by very slowly. Today I went to chelsea's and worked on the anat & phys packet with her, erin & scott. I put quite a large dent into it. It's not too bad, just a lot to do. Although it is sad having to get back to work, I am very excited to get back into the musicals and plays, getting clubs going, and seeing everyone again (although i'm sure this feeling wont last very long, I will keep a positive outlook). After all that (and some shitty babysitting) Erin MacD and I went to the apple store. After that we went back to her pad and becca chilled wit us. Pretty sweet, Pretty sweet...

6 days and 57 (for real) mosquito bites later, I returned home from Jesus Camp. At first, I must say, I had my doubts about the whole thing- new camp, too many close friends graduating (or at least graduating camp, that is) and the forecast (which stayed quite true), but in the end I ended up having a really great time! I'm not going to go through every day individually, but I will mention a few higlights from the week. It was hot.. soo hot, but the water front this year was amazing and anyone would agree with me on that. Shit went down with orange dye (and by this I mean that a child, 10, was singled out by a woman, 40's, for drinking excessive ammounts of orange-water for a skit in the talent show, claiming it could lead to the child becoming an alcoholic.. WHAT?) Other things happened, too. Aside from the fact that we lost a lot of our video news team, we managed to make it work- quite well actually. Kate sent me the sweetest postcard, which is below, and it made my week, too.
I'm sorry this entry will not make a difference to anyone, but I figured I should say what I had been doing for the past week. It was fun, and tomorrow we have camp sunday (because it's Jesus Camp) and after we'll go out to lunch, go swimming, and go see a movie together. Unfortuanatly that will probably be the last time i'll see most of them, seeing as most of them just come to camp and not church.
When I was there I came acrossed a news paper clipping for "The Detroit Photo Contest" and after reading everyones entires from the past week (i'm very committed) a lot delt with photography. It's a great contest, and there is a winner every week. It's almost over, but I think it would be cool to enter in some of your pictures. Anyway, the link is right here.
Thanks again, Kate.

I got a few books from her library and am now reading "High Fidelity". Awesomeee-- pictures from this experience (in chalk) can be found on kates LJ sometime today.
